My client loved the idea of using a British Colonial theme to blend her love of the Traditional with a Tropical feel. The one caveat was we had to keep it light. The solution was maple cabinetry with a light stain and glaze to accent the details. The “X” detail is frequently seen in Bermuda architecture on balcony railings. The rattan inserts in some of the doors are also a tropical material. The most important tip here is that “less is more” so we didn’t do this on every cabinet, too much and it fails to stand out as a focal point. Cabinets are custom by Brendan Donovan Furniture & Cabinet Co.

I absolutely love the granite countertop and backsplash in this kitchen. Can you please tell me the name of the granite? Thank you!

Gloria Graham-Sollecito

Hi Kathy, Thanks! My client loves it too. It is called Delacatus. The resource here no longer has that exact material. But you should be able to find something similar. Good lucK! I
